1. I keep getting my little bubble popped... I get excited about something and then its like the rug gets pulled out from underneith of me and Im reminded that Im not important.
2. I need to get over my running hump. 5 miles feels awesome. I enjoy every moment of it - for the most part. The problem is I am supposed to be running 15 this week... not 5! uhhhh
3. After a HORRIBLE eating day yesterday - today I have been right on point. And while I was about to eat an orange, a thought popped into my head "why on earth give in to fruit snacks when I can have FRUIT"???
Wait was the rug pulled out from under you because of the 5 mile thing? Or something untold as of yet? I realize you were hoping for closer to 15 miles, but you still got 49 days until your marathon-plenty of time! Sounds like you gotta schedule a run...

ReplyDeletePolars mom the rug part had nothing to do with the run - 100% seperate and something I wont put on here for fear of pissing off alot of people.
ReplyDeleteI use mental tricks for my long runs - a fifteen is just three five milers! Silly, I know, but it works for me. Oh, and I know you already know this, but I always need reminding: cut back on the pace for the longer runs - most of us can't run 15 at the same pace we run 5. Hang in there!
